Paizley’s Christmas Dress

Paizley’s 6 month pictures

Paizley had her 6 month pictures taken almost a month ago by Julie Burton. I just love her and the way she takes Paizley’s pictures. She captures her perfectly every time! Kevin and I were sooo worried the pictures were not going to turn out that great. During the shoot Paizley was not her big smiley self. She only gave a couple half grins so we were nervous! But they turned out great. And of course as soon as we left she was smiley and giggly. Little stinker! She must have a shy side. .

I love this moment she captured! There are so many more good pictures I could post. But a few of them are on our christmas card so I didn’t want to right now :]   

Festival of Trees!!

Last Thursday I went to the Festival of Trees. I look forward to this every year! I have been going for a long, long time. I know I missed a few years but I remember as a kid going there, going to the kids corner and playing the games and just loving it! So I am glad to carry on the tradition with Paizley. Last year we did a tree in honor of my twin brothers, so it makes it even more special. She LOVES Christmas trees and the lights, like most little kids do. I was really looking forward to go with Kevin but he had a chance to get paid to go to Las Vegas with his friends so he did it! And I’m glad he did he deserved it! So I went with my mom, sister, brother, sister in law and nephews. Anyways the trees were beautiful, the food in the sweet shop too tempting and of course I found some cute things in the gift shop! I decided to dress Paizley sort of Christmasy in a dress she has and she looked so cute! She had on cute cute sparkley red shoes too. Too cute huh! Umm yeah. I kinda look homeless and fat. lol but oh well Paizley looks cute! :] These were the cutest figurines! Paizley is tired, can ya tell?

PS- Does anyone else feel like Christmas is creeping up too quickly?!

Sunday

Paizley looked beautiful (as always) for church today. So of course I had to take a picture and show her off! :] I got her 6 month pictures back today too. I will have to post some soon there sooo cute!

Those are some QUICK arms! Really, I don’t know how she moves them so fast. I’ve tried. Its hard! haha

Thankful

Thanksgiving is over. The day came and went too quick. And we forgot to take even one family picture! At least we got one of Paizley in her cute Thanksgiving outfit though. :] I have so much to be thankful for. Some of those things are:

My amazing, sweet, kind, hard working, dedicated, SEXY husband. I am so thankful he is a worthy priesthood holder that gives our family all of the blessings we need.

My gorgeous baby girl. Paizley is such a sweetheart she can always make me smile. I am so grateful to be blessed with a perfect daughter.

My family. My family is great and I love doing things with them. It’s nice to know they will be there whenever we need them.

My second family. I love Kevin’s family. It is so nice to have another place to go where we know we are welcomed!

The gospel. I don’t know where I’d be without it. I am so grateful to be sealed in the temple, to have so many temples so close, and to feel to comfort of the spirit when I need it.

My friends. I have some amazing friends and its so nice to keep in touch and feel like we haven’t missed a day when we get together.

My dog, Lily. She was the first thing I ever had responsibility for and I do love her lots! I love how protective she is of Paizley and that they like to play.

I am so grateful for the simple pleasures in life that often go unnoticed but so many go without. Like socks, a coat, warmth, food (and good food it is), love.

Even though times are rough right now and we have a lot to figure out we have so much and I am so happy! I could not be happier right now.

Happy Birthday to me!!

This last Monday was my 22 birthday. Man I feel old! I never posted about my birthday last year and I wish I would have. Kevin was sooo good to me. He always is but he had a 4 day extravaganza planned for me. One day I had an appt for a facial and pedicure, we did dinner a few days, a play, and then he took me to wendover over night since I was turning 21. It was so much fun and so nice to do a bunch of things since we knew this was my last birthday without a baby!

Well this year he wanted to make it just as special. So we went to Vegas! We were so nervous to leave Paizley for the first time but she did AWESOME! Both of our parents watched her and they loved it! And a really good thing happened, she isn’t afraid of my dad anymore! He can now hold her and she will smile at him :] We had lots of fun in Vegas. It was so nice to fly there and get there an hour. And we didn’t have to be here for that snow storm! My sister and her husband ended up driving down and staying with us, they really deserved a vacation. Were glad they came it was lots of fun! We went to dinner, did some shopping, and Kevin and I went to lets make a deal. It was so much fun!! Disappointing that we didn’t get to make a deal but we had fun still. I wouldn’t mind going back and going to that again!

I forgot my camera half of the time. But we did have fun and it was nice to just do what we want and not be on a schedule :] But we did miss Paizley like crazy, it was just nice knowing she was in good hands! Thanks Mom, Dad, Kent , and Cindy for watching her!

Half a year gone. .

WOW! Time has gone by so fast. I know I say it in every post but I really can’t believe it! It does not seem like 6 months have gone by since Paizley came into our lives. Ohhh how much I love her. I cannot explain it. Its crazy a mothers love for her child. I can’t believe Kev and I are leaving her for the first time this Friday. But I think we deserve it! She use to be so hard :] and would now be completely perfect if it wasn’t for her reflux. Poor girl throws up so much! I hope she grows out of it (for my sake and hers! :] ) She still sleeps like an angel, 12 hours a night and gets about 2 1 hour naps in. She has two teeth and looks soo cute with them! Ahh she is just adorable. Her stats at 6 months are 16lbs even (40%) 26 1/4in(80%) and whatever makes her head 60% now! I thought it seemed to be getting bigger! It was sad she had to get 4 shots, 2 in each leg. I thought it would maybe ease the pain if I let her suck on a sucker, but nope she just screamed! Poor baby! But good news, no shots at her 9 month! Well Paizley is doing sooo good. She really is the best baby! Kevin and I cannot imagine our lives without her, she is our pride and joy. Our little princes! I’m already dreaming up how her first birthday party will be haha Here are some pics from the last month. . Go Utes! She knows whats good for her :] We got her this new ducky bath and she loves it!

One day she was watching baby Einstein and I was cleaning in the other room I heard her whining and this is what I found. She scooted right out of her bouncer! She has the strap on everytime shes in it now! haha

We watched Tate one day and she just loves him! He loves her too if ya can’t tell :]

So You Think You Can Dance!

On Saturday I went to SYTYCD with my mom, sister, sister in law and her family and friends. It was soo much fun! I hadn’t had a girls night in a long time so I needed it! It was at the e center and holy cow I seriously had to plug my ears half the time because of how loud the crowd would get! My ears were throbbing the next day. That part really sucked but other then that it was great! :] Heres a few pics.

Halloween!!

I was so excited for Halloween this year. I just couldn’t wait to get Paizley all dressed up. She had 7 Halloween outfits and it was so fun having her wear them! I was SO EXCITED to go to a Halloween party on Friday night my friend Mallory was throwing. We ended up needing to take Paizley, so I got the soup made I was taking, Kevin and I got dressed up as nerds and headed out! We were there for a few minutes and decided to put Paizley in her costume so we could show her off. I don’t know if she got scared by someones costume or what but she just started SCREAMING. Much like she would do when she had a colic episode, but it was a different scream. A more heartbreaking one. Kevin and I tried all of our tricks, the different ways we bounce her, taking her outside, showing her some decorations, anything to try to distract her. We gave her a bottle, she wouldn’t take it. Nothing was working! It was like she had forgotten why she was crying but just wouldn’t stop. I was so scared since I had never seen her cry this way and she couldn’t catch her breath. She really cried for 30 minutes straight. I was crying too because I didn’t know what was wrong with her. When I was a kid I hyperventilated once and she was doing a lot of the things I remembered doing. I thought for sure we were going to have to go to primarys or something. So we decided to put her in her carseat and start driving. All the sudden she calmed down. We were going to try to take her to Kevin’s parents since there house wasn’t far from the party so we could go back. But they were already in bed, so we decided we’d go back and she if she would just sleep or something. Right when we got back to the house though she started screaming again! It was so weird. She just really did not want us to go! I was so upset because I never get to see my friends and Kevin and I got all dressed up. But we just had to go home. We didn’t even get a picture in our costumes! Oh well I guess. There will be a lot more Halloweens to come! I think were going to dress up for lets make a deal in Vegas next weekend so hopefully we will get a picture then! WOW that was long. haha

Anyways Halloween was much better for Paizley. She was happy and looked so cute! We went to Kevin’s parents for a while and took pictures of her and her cousin Austin dressed as a monkey. Aren’t they cute?

After that we headed to my parents. It was my sisters Birthday too so we wanted to give her Birthday wishes! My brother came later with his boys and unfortunately they weren’t in their costumes and we didn’t get any pictures. Oh well I guess! I hope everyone had a good, happy, and safe Halloween!

We gave in and decided she needed some sugar on Halloween too! I thought she’d get mad when I took the sucker away but she didn’t care at all. Cutie! She just wanted to eat those pumpkins haha Happy Birthday Aunt Sa!

Happy Halloween everyone! That was a long post. And I still need to post pictures of her in all her Halloween outfits. . I love her and I love taking pictures of her! I can’t believe how quick she changes so it’s nice to try and capture every moment :)

First Snowfall!

On Tuesday we had our first taste of snow for the season! I couldn’t wait for the first snowfall. Mostly because I wanted to start a tradition of having hot chocolate on the first day of snow. (Isn’t my life SOO exciting :) ) I thought it would be really fun to get Paizley all bundled up and take her outside to see the snow and feel it. But I wanted to wait for Kevin to get home, I hate having him miss any of her “firsts”! And I know he appreciates being there for most of them. We had AT LEAST a good 3 inches but sadly by the time dad got home the snow had all but melted. Oh well! I am sure there will be a TON of snow to come to show her. But in honor of the first snow I had to put her in her winter jammies!

Doesn’t she look cute?! She is doing sooo good at sitting up by herself. She has even started to catch herself when she falls and she can play with her toys while she sits up. And look at her tooth!! She looks so cute huh?! Now the one next to it is comin in!

Once Paiz was off the bed I made us some hot coco! Good old Stephens. . .I think its the best! I had Milk Chocolate (my fav) and Kev had Peanut Buttercup. The peanut butter one was really good! It has miny cups that melt. . .Mmm doesn’t it look GOOD?!

 

A pretty small tradition but I think it will be lots of fun in the years to come :)

5 months already!

I cannot believe another month has gone by, let alone 5 since our beautiful baby girl arrived! Its crazy she will be half a  year old in a month :) Oh I love this little girl so much. She is SO MUCH fun!! Paiz your the happiest giggliest thing on this earth. I just cannot get enough kisses or her hugs. I wrap her arms around my neck and she kinda squeezes, feels like a hug to me! And I LOVE it! There is nothing better. Some new things. . Paiz has a tooth! Her bottom right tooth cut two days ago. And it was a breeze! I was dreading teething since most babies get so fussy and don’t sleep a lot, but it didn’t affect my sweetie at all. Im going to miss her huge gummy grin but it will still be cute with teeth. It just makes her seem OLD! She absolutely loves to eat! She is currently eating rice, oatmeal, butternut squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans, bananas, applesauce, and peaches. She loves it all! Last night she even wanted to feed her self.

Notice its on her eyelashes? haha She doesn’t have a great aim but at least shes learning right!

Not sure if you can tell, but she rubbed her food all over in this pic! She was really messy but way cute. Don’t you love her eyes? I wish mine looked like that!

Paiz loves to gabber. I can say “hi” to her a million times and she tries to repeat it. Says something like “haaagoo” haha at least shes got the H sound down! Another new thing, she doesn’t wake up for he binky anymore!! She usually wakes up about 930 sometimes 945. Its soo nice! I just need to stop letting her be my alarm clock so I get some things done while she sleeps in :) Right now everything goes in her mouth, sometimes when shes trying to get a toy shell think she has it so she’ll hurry and shove her hands in her mouth but theres nothing there, she does it over and over its funny! Right now shse wears 0-3, 3-6, and even on 6-9 month outfit. Its dumb how clothes fit! We just think she is the smartest thing! I guess most parents think there kids are but we will play “123” with her, where we hold her facing us and say 1 … 2… 3! And on 3 she falls back. We don’t have to help her at all and she loves it! I need to record it for sure.  She is the jumpiest person I have ever seen. She jumps at just about anything but when she gets scared she usually just smiles. Paizley has turned into the easiest baby! We hardly have any crying anymore and its great! She is so happy its so nice to know she isn’t in pain anymore. I love her so much!  Here are a ton of pictures :)
